What an application is

An application is one person applying to one job offer. A person who applies to three job offers has three applications. They still have only one line in your CV database.

Open Applications in the menu of Recruiting.

How applications arrive

An application is created when:

An invitation to apply (Offer a position) only sends an e-mail. The application is created when the person applies.

The stages

Each application is at one stage of your recruiting pipeline. A new workspace has these stages: Applied, Interview, Qualified, Offer, Hired and Disqualified. New applications start at Applied.

You move each application from stage to stage as you get to know the candidate. See Move an application to another stage.

To rename, add, remove or reorder stages, open Settings, then Recruiting pipeline.

List or board

At the top of Applications, choose how to see them:

  • List: a table, with a tab for each stage above it. Each line shows the person, the Job offer, their Skills, your Labels and the Status: the stage, in a colour.
  • Board: a column for each stage, with a card for each application. Drag a card to another column to move the application.

Click a name to open the application. See What an application page shows.

Common questions

What does Add new do?

Add new opens the form to add a person and their CV. The person goes to your CV database. To give them an application, add them to a job offer: in the CV database, click the actions button (⋮) at the end of their line and choose Assign to position.

Why isn't everyone from my CV database in Applications?

A person shows in Applications only once they have an application to a job offer.

Does a hired person stay in Applications?

Yes, at the Hired stage. They also become an employee in Human Resources. See Hire a candidate.
