Assign a task
- Open the task and click Edit, or create a new one.
- Under Who, choose the person in Assign to.
- Click Save changes, or Create task for a new task.
The person gets an e-mail with a link to the task. They also see it in their own Skileo space, where they can complete it and comment on it.
You can assign a task to the people of your workspace: in Recruiting, the candidates; everywhere else, the employees, until they leave. A task can also stay unassigned.
Change the person
On the task’s page, click the name under Assigned to at the top, choose another person and click Save. The new person gets an e-mail. To leave the task unassigned, clear the field.
On the board grouped by Assignee, you can also drag a card to another person’s column, or to Unassigned.
Assign several people
Choose several people in Assign to. Each person gets a copy of their own, with its own due date, and an e-mail. Each one completes their copy on their own.
When you edit a task that is already assigned, anyone you add also gets a copy of their own. The task itself stays with its person.
Add followers
Followers are colleagues who keep an eye on the task: the people of your workspace with the Member role.
- Open the task and click Edit.
- Choose them in Followers.
- Click Save changes.
Each follower gets an e-mail when someone comments on the task or completes it. The Business owner of the workspace always gets these e-mails too, without being a follower.
Common questions
Why isn't a person in the Assign to list?
Only people of the software’s list can be assigned: employees, or candidates in Recruiting. An employee who has left is no longer listed. Colleagues who use Skileo with you are added as Followers instead.
Does a follower have to do anything?
No. A follower is only kept informed by e-mail. The work is for the person in Assigned to.
Can I see who a task is assigned to without opening it?
Yes. The list has an Assigned to column, and the board can be grouped by Assignee. See Use the task list and the board.
