Choose when a task is due
- Open the task and click Edit, or create a new one.
- Under When, choose one of the four options:
- On a date: pick the Due date.
- After they start: pick a time in Onboarding timeframe.
- Before they leave: pick a time in Offboarding timeframe.
- No date: the task stays open until someone completes it.
- Click Save changes, or Create task for a new task.
With After they start or Before they leave, Skileo works out the date for each person from their own start or leaving date. This is useful for the same task given to several people.
To change only the date, open the task’s page, click the value under Due at the top, change it and click Save.
Late tasks
A task is late when its due date has passed and it isn’t completed yet. It shows Late in red in the list, and the task’s page says how many days late it is. A completed task is never late.
On the board grouped by Due date, late tasks are in the Overdue column, and the tasks due within a week in Next 7 days.
Repeat a task
- Open the task and click Edit.
- Under When, turn on Repeat this task.
- In Repeat, choose how often: every day, week, month or year.
- Weekly: choose the days in Weekly schedule.
- Monthly: choose the Day and the months in Monthly schedule.
- Click Save changes.
When someone completes a repeating task, Skileo opens the next one right away, with the next due date in the schedule. The completed task stays in the completed tasks and no longer repeats.
Nothing is created in advance. The next task only appears once the current one is completed.
Common questions
Can a task have no due date?
Yes. Choose No date. The task is never late and stays open until someone completes it.
How do I stop a task from repeating?
Edit the task, turn off Repeat this task and save. The task stays as it is, without a next one.
I reopened a repeating task. Is a new one created again when I complete it?
No. Completing a repeating task already opened the next one, and the completed task no longer repeats. To repeat it again, edit it and turn on Repeat this task.
