Open the calendar
Open Calendar in the Workspace part of the menu. It is there in every software, and it is the same calendar in each one.
What the calendar shows
Each kind of event has its own colour and its own button under the toolbar:
- Meetings: the events your team creates in the calendar. See Create an event.
- Tasks: the tasks that are assigned to someone and have a due date, on the day they are due.
- Interviews: the interviews with candidates in Recruiting.
- Time off: the time off of your employees, approved or not.
- Holidays: the non-working days of your workspace.
The number on each button tells you how many of these events are in the period shown. Click a button to hide these events, and click it again to show them.
Click an event to see its details and what you can do with it. See Tasks, interviews and time off on the calendar.
Choose what to show
- The period: click Today, or the arrows on each side of it, to go back or forward. To go to another date, click the period’s name, such as the month, and pick a day.
- The view: choose Month, Week, Day or Agenda. See Use the agenda and Coming up.
- The people: when your team has more than one person, click Everyone to show only some people. Choose Only me, or tick the people you want. The calendar then shows their tasks, the interviews they run, their time off and their meetings.
The address of the page keeps the view and the date. Copy it to show a colleague the same week.
Times and time zones
The calendar shows every time in your own time zone. Its name is under the Calendar title.
An interview or an event planned in another time zone shows at your time. When you click it, its details also give the time in its own zone.
Keyboard shortcuts
- T: go to today.
- ← and →, or J and K: the previous or next period.
- M, W, D and A: Month, Week, Day and Agenda.
- C or N: create an event.
The shortcuts don’t work while you type in a field.
Who can use the calendar
- A Business owner can.
- A Member can with the Calendar permission: Read to see the calendar, Write to create, change and delete events. They see tasks, interviews and time off only when they may see them elsewhere in Skileo: tasks need the Tasks permission, interviews the Applications permission, and time off the Time off permission.
Employees and candidates don’t have the calendar.
Common questions
Why can't I see Calendar in my menu?
You are a Member without the Calendar permission. Ask the Business owner of your workspace to give it to you.
Why doesn't my task show on the calendar?
The calendar only shows tasks that are assigned to someone and have a due date. A task without a person, or with No date, isn’t on the calendar. See Set a due date or repeat a task.
Can I use the calendar on my phone?
Yes. On a phone, the calendar opens on the agenda. The Week view isn’t there, because seven days don’t fit on a small screen.
Where do the holidays come from?
From the holidays of your workspace, in Human Resources: Settings, then Holidays.
