Move, change or delete an event

Drag an event to another time, or click it and choose Edit or Delete. When other people are invited, Skileo can tell them by e-mail. A deleted event can't be restored.

Move an event

  1. In Week or Day, drag the event to another time. To make it longer or shorter, drag its bottom edge. In Month, drag it to another day.
  2. If other people are invited, Skileo asks you to confirm. Leave Tell the attendees by e-mail ticked to send them the new time, then click Move.

A message confirms the new time. Click Undo in it to put the event back.

An event with a time stays an event with a time, and an all-day event stays all day. To change that, edit the event.

Change an event

  1. Click the event on the calendar.
  2. Click Edit. The panel Edit meeting opens.
  3. Make your changes.
  4. Click Save.

When Send invitations by e-mail is on, the people invited get the updated invitation by e-mail. The people you removed from Attendees get a cancellation.

Delete an event

  1. Click the event on the calendar.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Leave Tell the attendees by e-mail ticked to send the people invited a cancellation.
  4. Click Yes, delete it!

A deleted event doesn’t go to the trash. It is deleted for good and can’t be restored. See How the trash works in Skileo.

For a repeating event, you choose between one date and the whole series. See Repeat an event.

Who can change events

A Business owner can, and every Member with the Calendar permission set to Write. They can change and delete every event of the workspace, not only their own. The event’s details show who created it, under Organizer.

Common questions

Why can't I drag an event?

You may not have the right to change it, or it is a repeating event. Change a repeating event in its form: click it, then Edit.

Does the person who created the event get an e-mail when I change it?

Only if they are in Attendees. The e-mails go to everyone invited, except you.

Someone deleted the event while I was changing it. Is my work lost?

No. Skileo tells you, and keeps what you typed. Click Create to save it as a new event, or Cancel.
