How the CV database works
The CV database in Recruiting lists every person you might hire, with their CV, skills and labels. People get in when you add or import them, and when they apply to one of your job offers.

What the CV database is
The CV database is the list of people your company might hire. Each person appears once, with their CV, their skills and your labels. Open it from CV database in the menu of Recruiting.
It is not a list of applications. One person can apply to several job offers and still has one line in the CV database. Their applications are on their CV page, in the Applications tab.
How people get into it
A person is added to your CV database when:
- you create their CV yourself. See Add a person to your CV database.
- you import them from a spreadsheet. See Import CVs from a spreadsheet.
- they apply to one of your job offers.
The Added on column shows when each person was added.
What you see in the list
Each line shows the person’s photo and name, with their job title under the name. Then:
- Skills: the skills on their CV.
- Labels: the labels your team gave them. See Add labels to CVs.
- Added on: the date they were added.
Click a name to open the person’s CV page. See What a CV page shows.
What you can do from the list
Click the actions button (⋮) at the end of a line to:
- edit the CV, or add and change its labels;
- send the person a message;
- invite them to a job offer, or add them to one. See Offer a job to someone in your CV database;
- delete them from the CV database. See Edit or delete a CV.
To act on several people at once, tick the box in front of each line. The actions show at the top of the list.
Common questions
Can candidates see the CV database?
No. Only the Business owner and every Member with the CV database permission can open it. Candidates only see their own CV and their own applications. See Who can see and change CVs.
Is the CV database in every software?
No. It is part of Recruiting only.
Where do the experience and education on a CV come from?
From the person. When they join Skileo, they fill in their own CV: experience, education, languages and more. Your CV database shows it. You add the basics yourself: name, contact details, skills, a presentation and the CV file.
