# Who can see and change CVs

The Business owner can do everything in the CV database. A Member needs the CV database permission, and the Applications permission to invite, assign or delete people. Candidates never see it.

## “Business owner”

The “Business owner” can see every CV and do everything in the CV database.

## “Member”

A “Member” needs permissions, which the “Business owner” gives in “Settings”, “Members”.

- To open the CV database and the CV pages, and to export the list: “CV database” set to “Read”.
- To create, import and edit CVs, and to change labels: “CV database” set to “Write”.
- To invite a person to a job offer, or to assign them to one: “Applications” set to “Write”.
- To delete people from the CV database: both “CV database” and “Applications” set to “Write”.
- To see e-mail addresses and phone numbers: “Contact information” set to “Read”. To change phone numbers: “Write”.

Without the “CV database” permission, “CV database” is not in their menu. A button they may not use doesn't show.

Without the “Contact information” permission, e-mail addresses and phone numbers show as `***`.

## Candidates and employees

They never see the CV database or other people's CVs.

A candidate sees their own CV and their own applications. They fill in and update their CV themselves, in “Resume” in their menu. What they write there shows on their CV page in your CV database.

## Common questions

### Can a Member edit a CV without the CV database permission?

Yes, with “Applications” set to “Write”. They can edit a candidate's CV from the candidate's application.

### Why can't I add people to a job offer when I import?

You need “Applications” set to “Write” and “Job offers” set to “Read”. See [Import CVs from a spreadsheet](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/import-cvs-from-a-spreadsheet).

### Can a candidate see the labels we gave them?

No. Labels, like the rest of the CV database, are only for your team.
