# Upload many purchase invoices at once

In Purchase invoices, click Add new, then Bulk upload, choose a category and drop the PDFs. Each one becomes a draft to check and save. You can also import a CSV file.

## Upload many PDFs

1. Open “Finances” › “Purchase invoices” in the menu.
2. Click “Add new” and choose “Bulk upload”.
3. Choose a “Category”. Every PDF of this upload gets it.
4. Drop the PDFs in the box, or click “Add file”. Only PDFs are accepted.

Skileo reads each PDF and saves it as a draft purchase invoice, with the number, the date, the supplier and the lines it read. When the supplier is not in your contacts yet, Skileo adds it. If a PDF can't be read, the draft only holds the file.

When every file is done, Skileo says so. Click “Clear the list” to empty the list of files.

## Check and save the drafts

Drafts are not counted in your finances. To complete them:

1. In “Purchase invoices”, click “Show filters” and turn on “Drafts only”.
2. Click the actions button (**⋮**) of a draft and choose “Edit”.
3. Check what Skileo read and fill in what is missing, such as the payment method.
4. Click “Save changes”. The purchase invoice is no longer a draft.

## Import from a CSV file

Use this to bring in purchase invoices from another tool. The import doesn't bring PDFs.

1. In “Purchase invoices”, click “Add new” and choose “Import”.
2. Under “Select document type”, choose “Purchase invoice”.
3. Choose your CSV file, match its columns to the fields, click “Next”, then “Import”.

## Attach a missing PDF

A purchase invoice without the supplier's PDF has a red mark and the words “Supplier's PDF missing”. To find them all, turn on the “Only without attachments” filter.

1. Click the upload button on the line.
2. Drop the PDF in the box, or click “Add file”. One PDF, up to 5 MB.
3. Click “Done”.

The PDF is kept with the purchase invoice. Nothing else changes: Skileo doesn't fill in the fields from this PDF.


## Common questions

### I dropped the PDFs but nothing happens. Why?

Choose a “Category” first. The files wait until you choose one.

### Can I upload images or Word files?

No. Bulk upload takes PDFs only.

### Some PDFs failed. What do I do?

Skileo says that some invoices failed. Add these purchase invoices one by one, or upload them again. See [Add a purchase invoice](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/add-a-purchase-invoice).

### Why doesn't my purchase invoice show in the finances overview totals?

It is still a draft. Open it and save it.
