# Turn AI writing on or off

The workspace owner turns Write with AI on or off for everyone in Settings, on the AI tab. It is on by default in paid plans.

## Turn it off or on

1. Open “Settings”.
2. Click the “AI” tab.
3. Switch “Allow for your team” off, or on again.

The change applies to everyone in the workspace at once. When it is off, the sparkle stays on the text fields but is grey, and pointing at it says “Your workspace owner turned Write with AI off”.

## Who can change it

Only the “Business owner”, the owner of the workspace. A “Member” does not see the “AI” tab.


## Common questions

### Is it on by default?

Yes, in every workspace with a paid plan, until the owner turns it off.

### Why can't I switch it on?

The tab says why under the switch: “Write with AI comes with paid plans.”, or “Write with AI is not available yet.”

### What is sent to the AI provider?

Only the text of the field someone rewrites, or the latest messages of a conversation for a suggested reply. It goes to Mistral AI or OpenAI: the “AI” tab names the one your workspace uses. ### Is there a limit per person?

Yes, each person can use it up to 100 times a day.
