# Reply to, react to or forward a message

Point at a message to see its actions. Click an emoji to react, Reply to answer it with a quote, or Forward to send it to another conversation or person.

## The actions of a message

Point at a message with the mouse. On a phone or a tablet, tap it. A bar shows above the message, with emoji, “Reply” and “Forward”. On your own messages it also has “Edit” and “Delete”.

## React with an emoji

1. Point at the message.
2. Click one of the emoji in the bar, or click **+** (“More emoji”) to choose another one.

The emoji shows under the message, with the number of people who chose it. Point at it to see who. Click it again to take your reaction back.

## Reply to a message

1. Point at the message and click “Reply”.
2. Type your answer and press Enter.

Your answer shows a short quote of the message. Click the quote to go to the message. To stop the reply before you send it, press Escape.

## Forward a message

1. Point at the message and click “Forward”.
2. Choose a conversation or a person. Type a name to find them quickly.

The text and the files are sent there. The forwarded message shows who wrote it first. Skileo then confirms it, with “Open” to go to that conversation.


## Common questions

### Can I forward a message to anyone?

No. You can forward it to your conversations and to the people you can write to. See [Start a chat](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/start-a-chat).

### Can I edit a message I forwarded?

No. A forwarded message cannot be edited. You can delete it. See [Edit or delete a message](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/edit-or-delete-a-message).

### Does the person who wrote the message know it was forwarded?

No. Skileo does not tell them.
