# Offer a job to someone in your CV database

From the CV database, invite a person to apply to one of your job offers by e-mail, or add them to a job offer yourself without an e-mail. You can do it for several people at once.

## Two ways to offer a job

- “Invite to position”: the person gets an e-mail with your message and a link to the job offer. They decide whether to apply.
- “Assign to position”: you add the person to the job offer yourself. They get an application at the Applied stage. Nobody gets an e-mail.

## Invite a person by e-mail

1. Open “CV database” in the menu.
2. Click the actions button (**⋮**) at the end of the person's line and choose “Invite to position”.
3. Choose the “Job offer”. The “Subject” and the “Message” fill in with a ready-made invitation and the link to the job offer.
4. Change the message if you want, then click “Send”.

In the message, [candidate_name] is replaced by each person's name. To rewrite the message, click “Write with AI” in the message field. See [Write with AI](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/write-with-ai).

## Invite several people at once

1. Tick the box in front of each person.
2. Click “Offer a position” at the top of the list.
3. Choose the job offer, check the message and click “Send”.

Each person gets their own e-mail, with their own name.

## Add a person to a job offer without an e-mail

1. Click the actions button (**⋮**) at the end of the person's line and choose “Assign to position”.
2. Choose the “Job offer” and click “Assign”.

The person now has an application to this job offer. Follow it in “Applications”, like any other.


## Common questions

### Where do I see the result?

An application you add shows in “Applications” in the menu, and in the “Applications” tab of the person's CV page.

### What if the person already has this job offer?

Skileo leaves them out: they get no second e-mail and no second application.

### Why can't I see these actions?

You need permission to make changes in applications. Ask the “Business owner” of your workspace. See [Who can see and change CVs](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/who-can-see-the-cv-database).

### Can I send a simple message instead?

Yes. Click the actions button (**⋮**) at the end of the person's line and choose “Send message”. This opens “Messages”.
