# Add labels to CVs

Labels help you group people in the CV database, such as Junior or Job fair 2026. Add them from the list, for several people at once, or on the CV page, then filter the list by label.

## Label one person

1. Open “CV database” in the menu.
2. Click the actions button (**⋮**) at the end of the person's line and choose “Edit labels”.
3. The window shows the person's labels. Type a label and press Enter, or pick one from the list. To remove a label, click its cross.
4. Click “Save”.

You can also do it on the person's CV page: click the “Labels” under the name, change them, and click “Save”.

## Label several people at once

1. Tick the box in front of each person.
2. Click “Edit labels” at the top of the list.
3. Type or pick the labels and click “Save”.

> **Good to know**
> This replaces the labels of everyone you ticked. Labels they had before and that you didn't type are removed. If you save with no label, nothing changes.

## Use labels to find people

Click a label in the list to show only the people who have it. You can also filter by one or more labels. See [Find a CV in your CV database](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/find-a-cv).

## Common questions

### Where do the labels come from?

Labels are your workspace's tags: one list for people, documents and tasks. A label you type for the first time is added to that list. To rename or delete a tag, go to “Settings”, “Tags”. The “Business owner” can, and a “Member” with the “Documents” permission set to “Write”.

### Can I label people when I import them?

Yes. On the import page, type the labels in “Labels for everyone”. See [Import CVs from a spreadsheet](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/import-cvs-from-a-spreadsheet).

### Can candidates see their labels?

No. Labels are only for your team.

### Why can't I change labels?

You need permission to make changes in the CV database. Ask the “Business owner” of your workspace.
