# How candidates apply to a job offer

Candidates open the job offer's link, click Apply and send the form. Without an account, they get one by e-mail. The application shows in Applications at once.

## Apply without an account

1. The candidate opens the link of the job offer. They can change the “Language” of the page at the top.
2. They click “Apply”. The “Apply for this job” form opens.
3. In the “Apply now” tab, they type their “First name”, “Last name” and “E-mail”.
4. They add what the job offer asks for: their “CV / Resume” as a file or a link, a “Cover letter”, the links to their profiles and their answers to your questions.
5. They click “Send Application”.

Skileo creates a candidate account for them and sends them an e-mail to activate it. With this account, they can follow their applications and complete their CV.

## Apply with an account

1. The candidate clicks “Apply”, then the “Login” tab, and signs in.
2. The form shows their profile. The CV saved in their profile is already attached. They can attach another one instead.
3. They add what else the job offer asks for and click “Send Application”.

If they type an e-mail address that already has an account, Skileo asks them to sign in first.

## What happens next

- The application shows in “Applications”, at the Applied stage. See [How applications work](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/applications-overview).
- The person is added to your “CV database”, if they are not there yet.
- The “Followers” of the job offer get an e-mail with a link to the application. A job offer without followers sends it to the “Business owner” and to every “Member” who may change applications.
- On the public page, the candidate now sees “You have already applied for this job”. They can't apply twice to the same job offer.

## Common questions

### Can someone from my team apply to test the form?

No. A “Business owner” or “Member” who is signed in sees “Employers cannot apply to job offers.” To test the form, use another e-mail address in a private browser window.

### The link opens a "page not found". Why?

The job offer is not active, or it was deleted. See [Publish and share a job offer](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/publish-and-share-a-job-offer).

### Does the candidate get an e-mail when they apply?
