# Edit or delete a CV

To change a CV, open it and click Edit CV. To remove a person from your CV database, choose Delete in their actions menu. Deleting is final: CVs don't go to the trash.

## Edit a CV

1. Open the person's CV page and click “Edit CV”. From the list, you can also click the actions button (**⋮**) and choose “Edit”.
2. Change what you need. To replace the CV or the motivation letter, drop the new file on its box.
3. Click “Save changes”.

The e-mail address can't be changed: it is the person's login in Skileo.

You can change the details you entered yourself. The experience, education and other parts the person wrote in their own CV are theirs: only they can change them.

## Send or resend the invitation

If the person hasn't joined Skileo yet, you can invite them:

1. Open the CV form with “Edit CV”.
2. Click the actions button (**⋮**) at the top right.
3. Choose “Send invitation”, or “Resend invitation” if they were invited before.

They get an e-mail to set a password and open their account. Once they have joined, the menu is no longer there.

## Delete a person from the CV database

1. Open “CV database” in the menu.
2. Click the actions button (**⋮**) at the end of the person's line and choose “Delete”. To delete several people, tick their boxes and click “Delete” at the top of the list.
3. Confirm.

> **Good to know**
> Deleting is final. People you delete from the CV database don't go to the trash and can't be restored.

What is deleted:

- the person's line in your CV database;
- their applications to your job offers;
- the CV and motivation letter files of these applications.

What stays:

- the person's Skileo account. They can still sign in and apply to your job offers again.
- an employee stays an employee. Only their recruiting applications are removed.


## Common questions

### Why can't I see Delete?

To delete, you need permission to make changes in both the CV database and applications. Ask the “Business owner” of your workspace. See [Who can see and change CVs](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/who-can-see-the-cv-database).

### Can I get a deleted CV back?

No. The trash doesn't keep CVs. If the person is still in Skileo, you can add them again with their e-mail address. See [Add a person to your CV database](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/add-a-cv).

### I imported people by mistake. Do I have to delete them one by one?

No. Undo the import instead, within 30 days. See [Import CVs from a spreadsheet](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/import-cvs-from-a-spreadsheet).
