# Delete an application

Open the application, click ⋮ and choose Delete application. It is deleted for good with the files sent, without going to the trash.

## Delete one application

1. Open the application.
2. Click the actions button (**⋮**) and choose “Delete application”.
3. Confirm.

You can also click the actions button (**⋮**) at the end of its line in “Applications” and choose “Delete”.

## Delete several applications

1. In “Applications”, tick the box in front of each application.
2. Click “Delete” at the top of the list and confirm.

## What is deleted

- The application, with the CV and cover letter sent with it.
- It doesn't go to the “Trash”. You can't get it back.

What stays:

- The person, in your “CV database”, with their other applications.
- The job offer.

> **Good to know**
> To turn a candidate down, don't delete the application: move it to Disqualified. You keep its history and the candidate knows where they stand. See [Reject a candidate](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/reject-a-candidate).

## Common questions

### Why can't I delete an application at the Hired stage?

The person is an employee. Their application stays, because “Human Resources” needs it.

### How do I delete the person too?

Delete them from the “CV database”. This deletes all their applications in your workspace, except the application of an employee. See [Edit or delete a CV](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/edit-or-delete-a-cv).
