# Add a person to your CV database

In CV database, click Add new, then Create CV. Fill in the name, job title and e-mail, add skills and the CV file, and save. You can also invite the person to join Skileo.

## Create a CV

1. Open “CV database” in the menu.
2. Click “Add new” at the top right, then “Create CV”.
3. Fill in the form, section by section. The fields with a star are required: “First name”, “Last name”, “Job title” and “E-mail”.
4. Click “Create candidate” at the bottom.

The person is now in your CV database.

## What the form asks for

- “Who they are”: a photo, “Gender”, the name and the “Job title”.
- “How to reach them”: “E-mail” and “Phone”.
- “Personal details”: “Date of birth”, “Nationality” and “Social security”. Fill in only what you need for the hiring.
- “Profile”: “Skills” and a “Presentation”. Pick a skill from the list, or type a new one.
- “CV and motivation letter”: one file for the “CV” and one for the “Motivation letter”. Drop each file on its box, or click the box to choose it.
- “More options”: links to the person's profiles on the web, such as LinkedIn or GitHub.

> To write the “Presentation” faster, type a few words and click “Write with AI” at the bottom left of the field. See [Write with AI](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/write-with-ai).

## Invite the person to join Skileo

Under “How to reach them”, turn on the switch that says: “Send an invitation to join the software and confirm the account.”

When you save, the person gets an e-mail to set a password and open their account. Then they can fill in their own CV, with their experience and education, and keep their personal details up to date.

## When the person is already in Skileo

The e-mail address is the person's login in Skileo. If someone already has an account with this address, Skileo doesn't create a second person: it adds that person to your CV database.


## Common questions

### Can I add many people at once?

Yes, from a spreadsheet. See [Import CVs from a spreadsheet](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/import-cvs-from-a-spreadsheet).

### Why can't I see Add new?

You need permission to make changes in the CV database. Ask the “Business owner” of your workspace. See [Who can see and change CVs](https://www.skileo.com/help/en/who-can-see-the-cv-database).

### Why is the phone field greyed out?

You may not have permission to change contact information. Ask the “Business owner” of your workspace for the “Contact information” permission.

### What happens if I leave the page before I save?

If you changed something, Skileo asks you first, so you don't lose it by mistake.
